I doubt religion has anything to do with it. It would just be because the chick would be wearing a bride's dress and therefore the cosplay/roleplay factor is what gets them off.

 

That's the thing - she isn't in a wedding dress and he's not it a tux. It's strictly the premise of they're "just married", they're not getting down to it partially clothed in their wedding stuff.
