Poor Patrick :-(

This is all my opinion, but I have lurked around here for quite a while, and I know hostility when I see it.

And believe me, hostility was the attitude displayed to poor old Patrick. Am I the only one who wonders why everybody was so mean, he didn't seem to be doing anything bad like hacking.

He was funny and kind IMHO and shoudn't have been bullied like that. If this is the attitude shown to newbies on this board, then I don't think it will last that longer.

I didn't see much but it seemed abit mean and on other forums he seems to be nice if abit presumptious. I mean, he was giving the board of chance, that's a minority giving the majority a chance. That's not the way it works. It's the majority that gives the chances and the minorities that takes them. And I think he acted too much like people gave a shit.

I'm also not sure the main antagonists of Patrick care what happened or what other people's opinions are of what they did.

I really hope you're going for the "It's so crazy it just might be true!" angle there. Also...

1. You live in the same place as Patrick. If you're his cousin, this is also plausible, but it's a little too convenient for me.

2. I have never heard anyone say anything like what you've written. Your first post conjured images of a generic old psychologist telling kids not to be mean to each other, it doesn't matter who wins or loses at sport and it's important to just be yourself.

3. If you're a long time lurker, and his cousin, and you use the same computer, surely you would have/should have warned him beforehand about participating here.

I didn't warn him because I just came to his place from my house, I do know that is the way that newbies are treated, and that this forum has a reputation. And you don't have to register to view posts, you can look at them regardless of whether you are registered.

Where does this forum have a reputation outside of this forum. I would like to know where exactly we are known as a pit of newbie-hating posters?
