    Soon Our Friends Perish,
    Soon all we cherish
    Fades as days darken - goes as flowers go.
    Soon in December
    Over an ember,
    Lonely we hearken, as loud winds blow.

    Radioactive roses are green.
    Dead people are blue.
    Bugs are ugly.
    And so are you.

    My penis was so limp,
    And shriveled like a shrimp,
    But thanks to snowmane's merry christmas thread,
    Its now a blood filled blimp.

    Damn, my posts are so full of spam
    I believed that a half-ogre could wield
    Both a rifle and a shield
    But it didn't take long
    Before I was proven wrong
    A despicable liar I am

    My body aches
    My hand shakes
    My girl's crazy
    I'm feeling lazy
    I cannot think
    I'm on the brink
    of breaking down
    but the sound,
    that loving sound
    blasts through the speakers
    and washes away the pain
    it wipes away all feeling from my brain.

    how's that?

    Here I stand, in loneliness, in sorrow;
    Abandoned by all, forsaken, forgotten.
    Life passes me by, there will be no tomorrow;
    The flame of my spirit wanes, my heart is broken.
    The party is over, the guests have left;
    Where once there was joy now sadness remains.
    Of happiness and company I am bereft;
    All my tears, all my toil have been in vain.
    Where have my dreams and my hope gone?
    Where lies my love, my life?
    The light is no more and a time has begun
    Of darkness, of despair, of madness and strife.

    Some of Sea Dog's pieces are great...and incredibly similar to what I would write if I could - suppose I just don't have the knack.

    *Poem to be slapped in sometime today*

    I'm afraid I don't have much appreciation for poetry. I'm Ok at pretending I do and getting a good English mark.

    In my opinoin poetry is the most self indulgent form of art. It takes no skill, only a pretentious tone, and a broad spectrum of adjectives, and adverbs.

    Good. Keep it that way. Poetry is wildly popular among adolescents as it's a structured way of dealing with their changing emotions and bodies, but very few are actually any good at it. I swear if I happen across ONE more dark goth adolescent poem about how nobody understands and which features the theme of razor blades and/or suicide, I'll cut the little whelp myself and save him the trouble.

    Sleek, only four lines about your penis? Tsk-tsk, put some more effort into it please. :)

    Silvara, that was beautiful.

    Like every poet, I only write about what is important to me.

    All poets are egotistical bitches. :D

    Still, only four lines? Doesn't it mean more to you than that? Or were you attempting to capture the essence of the selfish male, interested in sex only until he himself is satisfied no matter if his partner has yet been pleasured. Brilliant! :clap:

    Farce? I thought you were stating its definition.

    No, no, no, no.

    You only see the surface meaning of my poem "mmm me man, like masturbate, ughhhhh <drip> all done" ("geundheit")

    In my opinion the poem was outlining the basic motivation of every poet.

    I'm not sure what you mean, Sleek...
    Well, I'll try to write poetry more often then.
