Is it posssible to play with 2 characters using mods ??? , or is it possible to control your npc level advance , because i want to have 2 characters, one with magic and another that will construct weapons , i could take technology guy as my main character but i also want to control the mage character ,the best option would be to create 2 characters , does any one have any solutions ??
You cannot control two characters, period. Follower leveling schemes are, however, moddable. I think.
If you don't mind playing the mage, you can use the savegame editor to redistribute one of your followers character points and have them make weapons for you.
That would probably work out a lot better because you can't count on followers to actually use the appropriate spells when you want them to. Unless there's some way to hack their AI to use attack spells a lot more often, making the other character the mage could end up really sucking. In my current game, for example, I'm playing a grenade throwing archer (I invested heavily in Explosives and Chemistry). I have both Perriman Smythe and Jormund in my party. Now, if I had Perriman's level scheme, I would be using Fire Flash a lot and messing around with Phantasm spells as much as possible. Turning invisible is probably pretty handy. What does Perriman do in my game? He mostly just tries to fight hand-to-hand with a Mystic Axe I found and casts Body of Fire on himself occasionally. He doesn't even use his Necromantic White spells as much as I would like him to. Jormund is pretty much useless this time around. I get the whole thing about his racial penalty and fatigue, but the dude could still do a lot of damage with spells like Jolt or Fire Flash. Especially since I gave him a staff that stores mana. So far, all he really does is occasionally use his level four and five spells... and then pass out. Again, if I was the one with his spells, I would be causing all kinds of havoc instead of just summoning a Fire Elemental once in a while and trying to fight with my Charmed Staff. If I was a mage and hacked one of my techy followers to make the stuff I wanted to try out this time, I would be way more dangerous in combat. Sure, it might be a follower wasting the paralysis grenades instead of me, but fights would end a lot sooner instead of me having to do everything the hard way with my Pyro Bow or the Aerial Decapitator. And I might get more kills instead of Sogg finishing off far too many enemies before I can get to them. And telling a follower to make you another Fine Revolver (or whatever) is about the same as making it yourself. There might be less sense of accomplishment, I suppose. But you still get that revolver.
