Hello everyone! I just played the game through as good, and was thinking about playing it through again as evil but could somebody answer a few questions for me? I realize that playing as evil means getting your alignment in the negative, and you'll be getting different (evil) followers, but what else is different about it? For example: Do I solve the quests the same way as when I played good, because if I don't wouldn't I be botching the quests? Or do I get different quests given to me when I have an evil alignment? How do I know what to do to be evil, as opposed to just doing everything the "normal" way that I played it this first time? I realize this may lead to spoilers, but I DON'T MIND...if anybody else minds, then just don't read on. But I DO want to know: What happens at the end if I play evil? Thanks anyone and everyone who can help! - Windmills (Heretofore 100% GOOD!) 0
It's basically the same - just different choices. Essentially, you've just got to kill people and destroy things instead of being diplomatic and repair things.
At tseng ang if you have a negative alignmentyou can join min gorad, also if youre really evil join kerghan in the end. Instead of say talking to mr bates, if youre evil you go in by the secret passage (after blowing up his steam engine) then kill him and all the guards then you nick his journal. As opposed to doing all that rubbiash for raven you simply kill her and read her note and so on.
Thanks! Thanks everyone, for all your help! Playing evil is....different. Certainly relieves tension! :minigun: If anyone else has any suggestions/input...I'm all ears! - Windmills
Joining Kergan at the end is fun because your followers go nuts and attack eachother, meanwhile, you hide in the shadows
How to get evil very fast. Well, I'd suggest getting up to like level 10-25 and KILL KILL KILL EVERYONE in Shrouded Hills! Also, I looked at the undat of Arcanum dialouge, and Virgil is mean to Joachim and Joachim says different things (Virgil! And you!..more lip follows) Virgil starts off with -1 alignment. I would suggest starting with the Sold Your Soul backround..oh and by the way..wait until you're level 23 to kill Doc Roberts..he is an expert at firearms..Dog will tear him to bits, though. I cleared out Shrouded Hills with a level 23 half-ogre, but i lost Gar and Dante's reaction with me dropped to -14. With evil alignment and a level 12 character, go talk to Geoffrey Tarrelond-Ashe in Ashbury and get him to join you. I've never had him join me, but I heard his AI was a bit annoying.. Oh, and may I add, if you are evil, stay away from having Gar, MAGNUS, and dante in your party. MAGNUS is the big one. He NEVER lets you attack good-aligned creatures (Hey! I don't understand why we're attacking such a decent type. I won't do this for much longer. -- Magnus) (After the kill..You're not acting like the person I thought you were. If you continue on this evil path, you'll be without me.) Dante is better because I think he's like Virgil and he can drop to -1000 before he attacks you and goes out of your party. Gar is like Magnus. He can drop to reaction 18 and then leave your party.
Another big difference is that, if you are evil, you wont be allowed in Tulla. You will have to go and resque Trollo Underhill from the pit in the back of Dernholm Castle, then he will give you a map of the Vendigroth Ruins and mark your map with where it is located. I think that you go to the Dark Elf Camp in the Vendigroth Wastes to find out that you have to get him, but I just skipped that and found him by accident! _
Cool! Thank you Snobo and nbrosz!! You've both been an AWESOME help! If anyone else has some tips, I'm all ears! - Windmills, the good turned EVIL
If you don't want your good followers all angry when you kill someone, tell them to wait before you attack (preferably somewhere far away, but you may be able to do it right next to them!).
Glad I could be of help, sir. If you ever need any help, you can e-mail me at Jayket_10@hotmail.com or post something on the forum to me.
Thanks again, Snobo! ...it's *miss*, though. No worries about it, no way to know on here. For all you know I could look like *grin* - Windmills
