Yeah you should definitely give it a try. My emulator freezes so I can't play it.

That'd be the Vampire Realism mod. You can disable the staking in the mod's config menu. To get there, bring up the console and enter 'Startscript VR_Menu'. That won't help with their toughness (as I recall), but at least you can kill them.

Funny. I'd just expect that mod to make them sparkle.

Ah, thanks EBM. That'll make it a hell of a lot easier atleast.

    That's Vampire Embrace though, DarkFool.

Anyone play any of the Total War games? I've been playing Shogun: Total War again the past few days. It can be a bit frustrating, but it's pretty fun. It's usually the small-scale battles that turn out to be the most epic and exciting. Too many units on the field and things get a little too hectic.

I played Medieval I and II. Tried Empire too, but it was too buggy and slow as hell.

Me and friend have an online campaign going in Napoleon. Much more rewarding than single player.

Has anybody played Wolsung? It looks like Arcanum unplugged!

I'm at a Magic tournament and my matches have run so unfavorably short that I have had plenty of time to browse the shelves of the game store hosting it.

The user comments are not particularly encouraging but I think the game is intriguing enough to pick it up.

Poland gave birth to a steampunk board game and yet none of my spies have informed me about it? I say.

I loved Shogun. I agree that at times it can be very frustrating.

I never played Shogun, but I did play the first Medieval Total War and Rome.

Both were great, I don't like the 'story-driven' or 'character-drived' crap they're doing with the more recent games so I haven't actually played anything after Rome.

Was thinking of picking up Empire though; has anyone here played it?

I have played them all. I would advice you to pick up Napoleon instead though. Empire is great, but sadly there exists a lot of bugs and techinical issues within the game, and I'm not sure if they have fixed them. But Napoleon is very much the same thing, but more detailed and much better.

I've played Medieval 1, Medieval 2, and Rome, with Medieval 1 being the most entertaining for me. Rome and beyond lacked much of the the charm that Medieval 1 used to keep me hooked for weeks.

Never looked at anything past Medieval 2 much, and I probably never will. The newer games just look boring.
