    Small update on this. It seems the successful funding of Wasteland 2 may be pushing this closer to reality. I would assume that they will wait to see the final sales figures for Wasteland 2 before deciding to fully go ahead with Torment 2, albeit without the D&D core.     I really do not know. The most of us all have already been waiting THAT long for this sequel. It would be a real shame that if it does not live up to the people’s expectations. Or it fails real bad like Ultima IX.

    I don't doubt that it would get made but like most sequels it wouldn't live up to expectations, especially considering the original is meant to be like the greatest RPG ever or some rubbish like that.
