ok, so i was wondering how you open up the .patch0 file residing in the modules folder of the Arcanum directory. why? just to see what's in it.
    ^^

is it a special file archive, or can it just be opened with something like winzip?

Try undatting it. If that doesn't work I have no idea. Don't think there is a utility out for the patch files.

Note that the windows version of undat utility corrupts that file (the windowed program).

It can only be successfully undatted and datted by the dos version dbmaker.exe

At least it did 3 years ago :)
