Nice picture, but why didn't you include Shogun: Total War?

Watch Amazon for package deals on these titles. I got a bunch of these early last year because a coworker recommended Crusader Kings II and Victoria II was among those in the bundle, so I played it for a few hours.

"Historical strategy game" is less apt than "historical economic simulation" in my experience with Victoria II. I found it way too cumbersome to enjoy, but if I have more time at a later date to give it a solid shot, I may change my opinion.

If a group of us own Civ 5 Gods and Kings then we could play a joined game. Take 50 turns each and we must not discuss the game between us so you go into your turn blind knowing only what is in front of you and not what the previous player was setting up for. Do a write up, couple of paragraphs nothing too major, after your turns and hold onto it. When we reach the end of the game or a certain number of turns we then post our reports and have a laugh to see what each others thoughts were when they played the game and their predictions of the outcome.

So since I realized essentially all of these games are unplayable unless you know what you're doing beforehand (except EU3), we're going with EU3.

But only if enough people are up for it.

So finally, who's up for it?
