Playstation dual shocks really are the best controllers ever. I wonder why the other companies don't just copy them? Stupid patents.

I personally don't care much for consoles in general. I like controling things with the keybard. it leaves me a free hand so I can eat and whack off.

That's funny, mostly anyone interested in the thing knows that the Xbox controller was one of the biggest blunders in pad design history. The pads were made for aliens with giant hands. They had to pull out a large batch of the things out of sale in Japan, reason? The pads were unuseable. They redisigned them, made them smaller, and then released a small version elsewhere when they noticed that people were bying japanese ones online instead of the normal ones locally.

The thing I have against most pads is this:

When I push up, and push the left side of the UP cursor, it registers as going LEFT. This is just an example, test it on some pads. The only pad which is free of this, this CRAP is the ps one.

I'm not even going to go into why the Xbox sucks, honestly, I've been using consoles for years, and the Xbox is the worst crap. I've lost count into how much money has microsoft thrown into it to keep it afloat.

Well, let's just say there is nothing like it; especially when it is a hot game, like Resident Evil. Damn, those corses are sexy.

Actually, the only time I've really played a modern-day console was in Wal-Mar, in the electronics aisle where there are televisions that hang down and controllers that protrude from a clear games display case. It sure gives your neck a helluva cramp once you've played for awhile, though.

No kidding, RE is the reason why I bought 4 of those consoles. Kind of an obsession.

No offense, but that's a rather bad obsession. :/

Jinxer, I read you loud and clear, Boss Hawg, on the control pad issues. The one that come with the console was huge, but it didn't bother me, as I have rather long man-hands. But I do own a small one now. Control pad, that is.

Also, the directional pad does do what you said. I never noticed it until I played True Crime. Go to turn on the siren on the cop car, and instead, I change the view of the chase camera.

But, I don't ever use the d-pad, anyway, so that's a small issue. To me, anyway.

If you haven't played the game, you should at least watch the movie.

i enjoy watching the game being played... it's like watching a horror movie from the comfort of my bed... and getting to bang the hero afterwards...

It's important for games like Tomb Rainder, Lara falls down a chasm instead of running straight, or in fighter games, when extreme precision is required to execute many of the games special moves.
I don't tend to get frustrated, but this drives me nuts, as characters in many games can't run in a straight line...

You know... why not go the simple solution: Buy a couple nice usb/gameport controllers for your computer, and play that way? I've got two microsoft ones that are a bit old, but still pretty nice. =D I'm going to get Far Cry soon... it's on my "to buy" list... given that I'm part of a Far Cry/Delta Force Clan, and without either of the games. :D actually, I'm a member for different reasons, but nevermind. Why do I think that you'll never ever rape someone because your dick is so limp from sitting on the fence for so long?

    Also:

    1. Xbox controllers are okay once you get used to them.

    2. I despise Playstation controllers - if I can't roll the D-pad, I don't like it. Then they replaced letters with symbols, which also doesn't do it for me.

    3. The N64 controller is the best I've ever used.

    4. You haven't seen rip-off consoles until you've been to discount stores in the Middle East.

Because there are quite a few good games that are never going to come out for PC. Fool.

You have some weird hands if you think the N64 controllerwas usable.

Far cry is an FPS isn't it? Therefore a mouse is way better than a controller. Much more accurate and easier to move.

Fuck everyone, the PS2 is the greatest console in current production, and the Dualshock 2 is the best controller. The dual shoulder buttons are genius, the location completely intuitive. Compare the equivilents on the Xbox controller: the black and white buttons. They are near the bottom of the pad, were it's hard to reach, and they are the same size and shape, making it difficult to tell which one you are pressing. I've played Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance with both systems, and blocking and doing throws with the Xbox is a total bitch, while with the PS2 it's easy and instinctive.
