I think each of us should build one altar to an old god of Arcanum. Then we will tell each other about them on this forum that can only be accessed by someone who has say ten thousand or more posts. Following that we of course know the locations of them all because we built them, we can then make the proper offerings to them in order and aspire to become gods ourselves. What say you fellows? Which altar/god would you worship?

So we go through all this effort of building a shrine that nobody (including Muro if you combine all his sock puppet posts) has access to?

Well we will have access because we are the creators, but then only those most devoted will be able to join our ranks. Basically no one. I call dibs on Geshtianna.

Why am I not surprised that you worship the goddess of SEX (and other things)?

Ever since the first time I read "The Pagan Gods of Arcanum" by Aldous T. Buxington III, I was a follower of the All-Father, assuming that worshipping more than one god would be heresy (and will most probably bring some curses on my back), so when only one can be worshipped, choosing the most powerful one and the creator of all being is the wisest thing to do. Boy was I surprised in my first game (which was before I understood Mazzerin's Mystery) that Velorien didn't fancy accepting my offering just like that.

I would build an altar for Velorien, but I'm not sure if I'm worthy. If post count equals power and possibilities, the honour of building Vel's altar should be reserved to Dark Elf if he would be interested, while the rest of the Greater Gods to people such as Gross, Wolfsbane, rroyo or DF, talking about the still active ones. If I could only chose from the Lesser Gods, I would build an altar for Ter'el, the elven god of wisdom.

I think I will go and build an altar for the Bedokaan Lesser God Makaal.

I believe a monument to that sacred and elusive Arcanum god Tim Cainith is in order. The other Gods pale in comparison.

Surely, a simple post count cannot justify a refusal of such since I have been regularly sacrificing every Fallout 3 player I find upon my bathroom floor twice every second Friday of the month, a feat which far outweighs a post count of any magnitude, good sirs.

How about we forget about post counts and focus more on the altars?

Which is the god that just doesn't give a shit? I'll get around to building an altar to him/her eventually.

Velorien is the most distant of all the gods in Arcanum. If you want someone who really doesn't give a shit, or even actively opposes worship, try Lord Ao from the Forgotten Realms.

Or an act of unsurpassed hubris. Has Catholicism taught you nothing? God is too busy for you; go through his secretary, Mary.

Now a god that opposes worship, that is my kind of irony!

You can also go for Azathoth, (AKA Nuclear Chaos, the Daemon Sultan and the Blind Idiot God.) who doesn't know and care about worshippers. Well, summoning him, would bring fatal consequence (sp?) for those who has summoned him.

Moorindal likes spiders. I like ninja spiders. I could build a shrine in Moorindals honor.

It's either that, or Halcyon. Or was there another Great God? Like the moon or something? I can't seem to remember...

The Moon and Sun seem to be deities in their own right, since Kai'tan is claimed to be their daughter, Moorindal the bastard son of the moon and a deity of light called Helion. Geshtianna was similarly ascended to godhood by the sun and moon, who could not stand being outshined by her.

If we're choosing from Arcanum, I'd go with Torg. That's a god who does not fuck around.

Either that or Geshtianna, 'cause she does.

Save your raspberries for Geshtianna. I hear she's all about vibrating tongues and lips.
