Something really awesome to do when you haven't slept for almost a day, but aren't tired is reading (or probably watching a film or something). You really figure out how everything makes sense. And how the author hid a lot of weird references all over the book to the awesomely scary revelation that's going to happen in the next chapter.

The revelation never happens and if you read until when it was supposed to happen while tired, you start hating the author and figure out that you're going to write a better book yourself. But by then you've forgotten how you made sense out of your thoughts and what really was scary about the revelation that didn't happen, so it's too late.

 

I think it has something to do with the subconscious mind going to the forefront. I end up drawing some of my best illustrations when I'm not sleeping, but I've actually got insomnia. I sleep sometimes, but it's not a restful sleep, which makes me consider staying awake to increase productivity...though I hardly do more than lay in bed and think about how much I'd like to sleep.

 

Shame on you, you're just another mortal. If you could draw good illustrations while sleeping, you'd be awesome.

Edit=So what happened with Gross and Tel's avatars? In the end Frigo got one and they didn't.

One of them is not only an officer, but is married and is my commander. The other one I have a lot in common with, and I'm pretty sure there's a mutual interest, but that's not a risk I'm willing to take. And she's got a lot more to lose than I do.
