I suppose those are hard to get where you live? Here in Norway, in game shops they set up these "discount bins" where they basically toss every game that's gone out of style and sell it for around $16 (100NOK). I found my copy of Arcanum in one of such bins, and later I've stumbled upon it more than once.
In my locality, if a game is more than 5 years old, the best place to find it is ebay. I'm not spending more than 3 dollars to fix this problem. Funny, that's how much arcanum costs on GOG.
This is why I have four hard copies of Arcanum, two of which are in mint condition with the cases still covered in plastic.
Did they ever come in those modern plastic DVD cases? Mine is the paper/cardboard variant. (And in shitty condition.)
I got an old CD-cover. Think I saw a copy over at EB Games as recently as yesterday in a DVD-cover for 10 Euros. If you're desperate, maybe someone can send a copy through mail, even if it'll probably be rather expensive.
The two unopened DVD cases I have are from a re-release of Arcanum by a now defunct label of bargain games called XPLOSIV.
I picked up another copy of Arcanum a few months ago when I saw it being sold in EB games as one of their sales.
Lost my box (older type) years ago, the manual and CD's are still in mint condition though. They're now kept in a fingerprint scanning safe which is inside another combination safe. I keep those under a hidden trap door under my house amongst other things. I made a copy of the CD's years ago which is what I use to play the game now.
Couple of legal documents, some personal items, family heirloom or two and some antique books (I have 1st edition copies of a lot of Maspero's work from ~1890). There's nothing down there that'd see me convicted of treason, but I do feel like a vault dweller sometimes due to all the fucking locks that need to be opened in sequence every time I want to look at something.
