I noticed that one of my followers has the pick lock skill. I'm in a house now and I want him to pick a lock to a chest. How do I get him to do that?
First make sure they have a set of lock picks. Next the followers abilities will only work if you have them turned on in your options screen. Finally they will only do the job if their skill level is higher than yours. This is the way I understand how it works. So dont quote me.
Well I don't even have the pick pocket skill and my follower does have the lock picks and skills are turned on but I still don't see any options for lockpicking.
you wont see any picklock options the follower will automatically pick the lock if his/her skill is high enough
Further explanation. Have a set of lock picks for yourself, and one set for whomever in you group has the highest lockpicking skills. Give that person one and put the other in your hotbank. Click on it in the hotbank, the cursor will change form, and then click on the locked item. Or, in your inventory, drag the lockpicks to the icon of the hand.
