i know this may sound stupid n dumb..... but i cant toggle my picklock skill. i have put a few points in it n still i can select it. can anyone tell mi y?
To the right of the black info window on the interface there are three big, round buttons. Click the one with the key in the center. This will put 4 icons in the info window. One of the buttons will have a hand grabbing a gold peace. Press that button and your cursor will change to a key looking thing. Then click on the poor sod you want to pickpocket.
colonel he was asking about picking a lock not pick pocketing.... Whitecaot you need a set of lockpicks put that on the item slot and press the corresponding number to activate it
It was 5:00 a.m. You can also drag them to the hand icon in your inventory. This is good if you don't really want to waste a hotkey slot for an item you may not use a lot. P.S. I am psychic so I knew his next question was how to pickpockets. I was just giving him the answer now so he would not have to post it later. :smile:
Whitecoat, if you put the item in your quickslot, as suggested, you'll be able to activate your picklocks skill just by pressing a number key (the number of the slot you put it into).
thanks for the help. now can anyone be kind enough to direct mi to a place to get the lockpick? mi have no idea where to get em. by the way i am using an half elf character n i getting my butt kicked. wonder y the enemy levels r so high compared to mine.i juz started the game only.....
I think one of the barells in shrouded hills always contains one. There are not that many there so check all of them start at the ones near the mines.
Almost all junk sellers seem to have a set of Crude Lockpicks for sale. Better sets appear at various places in the game, and you'll probably stumble across some, like I did.
Trash Cans Trash cans r sometimes the place for ur ingerdients.juz rest for 1 day and new items will be generated which means dat u should not ever place important items in them!!
Lockpics I thought I read somewhere here that you can always find a set of them in the barrel outside of the Flophouse in Tarant. Not positive as I have never had to specifically look for them myself but I have no reason to doubt it.
That's the truth, Glupii. There are always a set in the barrel outside of Poone's Flophouse on Low Dervish Road. Since it's a barrel and not a trashcan, it's inventory doesn't get wiped. Every single time I've played, no matter what kind of character, there's been a set of regular lockpicks there.
