Newbie needs help...

Ok, I just started playing, and this game looks really fun and complex. But I got some problems. Fist off, how do you save? Also, I went through the crash place, then that villager guy attacked us, then we kept going and I entered a plain which seemed randomly generated, I just kept on going forward through trees and grass and there were no enemies or anything, and it just seemed like it would never end.

So can anyone tell me how to save, and was I going in the right area?

 

1: Hit the escape button while playing.

2: Find out how to traverse through the world map without having to click a thousand and one times.


Save your game (via 1, then press random buttons on your keyboard to see what they will do.
