New to the game, and a very picky question...

As far as appearances go I know there is a least one for clothes, robes, leather, chainmail, & plate. Are there any more armor/clothing types that change your appearance?
Is there a way to change the avitar in the game? (ie: from elven to human or back?)
The human looks better in robes and leather armor but the elf is better in chain... like I said a picky question but I'm a sucker for detail.
Oh yeah... this game rocks. (and to think I bought Pool of Radiance 2 first *shudder*)

Anyway...

Aside from all that stuff you mentioned there isn't anything else that changes the way you look, aside from changing yourself into a fire elemental or a vapor cloud, etc. with various spells. There is no way to change your appearance race-wise(if you are refering to the fact that an elf wearing robes looks like a human female wearing them I will have to agree with you.) Half-elves look like humans in robes but obviously they don't have the magickal benefits of full blooded elves.
