New to arcanum - Thief spec and prowling question.

    Hi everyone, I'm new here, hehe. I played arcanum at a friends house a few days ago and I loved it and decided to buy it. Anyways, now I got it and I want a good thief spec. Any good ones out there? also, why is prowling any good? When do you use it? When I prowl I tend to get caught all the time, even if I got alot of skill in prowling, also, doesnt prowling require the same stat as it does with firearms and spot traps? Should I go for a firearm then?

    Prowling goes really well with melee and backstab.

    A tip: as long as you're behind the enemy, backstab works with meele. As long as the enemy can't detect you (is perilous), you get an additional backstab bonus. You don't really need to sneak up unnoticed every time for backstab to work, just get behind the enemy and enter sneak mode.

    If you're tech, get charged rings, otherwise get the gloves of dexterity from the elven trader in Ashbury.
