New Members automatic linked to the FAQ first

As I said in another thread, would it be a lot better for the forum that new members, should be automatic linked to the FAQ first, before they will come on the forum. Through this, you will prevent a lot of unwanted spamming, and trolling.

 

Think about it like this, Xz - it's a lot less work to do this now than to ban the spammers who will get through in the future.

 

Either that, or make me a moderator, and I'll terrorize people who're posting in the wrong section.

I agree with Arthgon. Give them a link. At least send a PM, if you don't already.

Then just think about this as well, you will be seen as the one who saved this site from spammers, and trolls. The regulars of this forum will then say' Xz? Yes, thanks to him we have less spammers and trolls.' Also, with this idea, you will prevent that there will a lot of unwanted trolls and spammer here on this site.

 

With the exception of Archmage Orinthil, who will say "Xz? Yes, he throws blue poo at everyone".

 

Have you ever thought that perhaps Xz likes to ban?

It seems that Zanza got himself in deep trouble finally. I knew that this eventually would happen to him, but the only thing that really makes me wonders why he acted so weird suddenly. Like PD said, before that he acted all normally.

That's what he would say, indeed.

 

The irony of that Zanza post will have me giggling all through the winter - and it's not even summer yet. (although it certainly fucking feels like it...)

 

This is sort of thing is a good example of the good old irony indeed.

Once again on topic: I wish I knew anything about programming the PHPbb (?), so that I would do this for you and for the site, but I totally know nothing about this.

 

Couldn't you tie it in so that it shows after the 'accept this to use the forum' page?

Is it possible that the new members will get after FAQ another 'accept this to use the forum' page? So that he/she knows that, this site is serious about these rules.

In addition, is there any way that it is impossible to cancel this. That means that if they try to cancel this, it will say "Sorry, but we are not taking no for an answer, you can only press yes.”
