I got a job as the web site manager of a local power washing supply company (and that may explain my lack of forum attendance). It's not exactly customer ready (plagiarised product descriptions, disorganized layout {products in the same essential category are listed separately, what the fuck?}) seeing as the guy who worked before me was just awful. But all that really means is that I have some work to do. I'm pretty happy with it. It's fun stuff, because it seems I get paid to learn about my job and how to do it well, and I love learning. Not that I don't know what to do already, but any learning experience I get is toward doing my job that much better. Plus, I get to save up money for school and my soapstone pipe business venture. Here's something I did, with dummy prices Here's something the other guy did, with prices taken from the competition (not bad...yet) on an item we don't carry (i.e. we make NO profit...yes, he's that bad).
I am, I just need a job so I can pay for school. I hate asking for money in any way, so I'm just doing something relatively easy to pick up until I can move on in my own direction.
Understood. I didn't understand what's the difference between what you did and what the other guy did though? You have mock prices and mock products for now? Or were you just supposed to have mock prices but the other guy put something your company doesn't even have?
The various types of "1 Wire Braid Black Pressure Hose" are all on the same page in Gross' version. The other guys had them all on different pages.
One of the voices in my head keep urging me to order enough pressure hose to fill up several cargo ships and then sue your company should they demand payment for it.
I have a feeling the order system is not functional at the moment. Would be bad if you can order stuff on an incomplete website.
I would be ordering from an American company; chances are that I can make a case out of perceiving the cost of shipping as not being transparent enough and get stinking rich. The real problem is figuring out what I shall do with a merchant fleet's worth of pressure hose. Oh, and Gross, when my legal action forces you out of employment, please take a look at this before you apply for a new job.
You can secretly pay people to cut up people's hoses, and then offer hoses at low low prices, since the hoses will come to you at no cost.
You should always test things like this... ...don't worry, I didn't actually push the order through. I didn't want to cost you your job.
According to the note on the bottom, it wouldn't matter, because you need a minimum purchase of $30.00 for the transaction to register. EDIT: Which can be remedied by ordering a 3000 unit for $50.00...
Breadcrumbs or stripper cream? Btw, kudos on the beautifully formatted source code. (++ Respect Rating)
