Yep, those French bastards have done it again. Lord Halifax has released another module for the French Arcanum community, this time even including voice-acting. "<a href="http://arcanumlab.free.fr/affaire.html">L'affaire du mort mystèrieux</a>", Lord Halifax's <i>6th</i> Arcanum Module, is apparently English for "The business of mysterious death" or so the <a href="http://babelfish.altavista.com/">Babelfish</a> tells me. Here's some more of what Babelfish translated:
<blockquote>A small village on pile, an unexplained crime, a merry population of shadies, such is the cocktail which awaits you in this module! This one differs a little from the precedents in the direction where it acted of an investigation. But to reassure the players large bills, will know that they will not be left for account, the history allowing to develop all the sides of the character. In extract, here three screens of play: <a href="http://arcanumlab.free.fr/affaire1.html">Ecran1</a>, <a href="http://arcanumlab.free.fr/affaire2.html">Ecran2</a>, <a href="http://arcanumlab.free.fr/affaire3.html">Ecran3</a>. Click on the image to launch the remote loading (9Mo).</blockquote>
If you speak French, download it. If you don't, download it anyway as I've found they're kinda fun to play. If you speak French and English, do us all a favour and <a href="http://www.terra-arcanum.com/phpBB/privmsg.php?mode=post&u=1156">talk to Lord Halifax</a> about translating his mods for him so the rest of the English speaking world can enjoy his Arcanum modules. You can leave a deposit, err... comment about the module on <a href="http://arcanumlab.free.fr/">Lord Halifax's site</a>.

Thanks to Lord Halifax himself for the heads up.

Yes i tried it too. I do not understand many things because it is in french but it seems that you are in an island and need to solve a murder ?

There is a lot of dialogue you talk to people and they give you hints and then you can talk to the same people more.

    A Very nice effort.

I took a look at the dlg files. You do seem to have a lot of dialogue on this one.A very nice design.

I have also learned the hard way that if you want to do something in the net you have to do it yourshelf.

You could use a google translation yes i know that it sucks big time but then you could post all the texts and ask for proofreading . Perhaps some people would do it in an one by one basis if you broke the job in pieces that people could do say in 15 minutes before getting bored.

And even if ppl do not help at least it is a good ad for your work.

    Chris.

Actually a better translation would be "The case of the mysterious corpse/dead man"" and not "The business...". It's about a murder you know, not about money :) (well, maybe it's about money in the end, but we don't know yet)
