I wanted to create a blessing. I read the WorldEd manual, html on Dark Underlord's site and the original doc version. However everything I found says to place the effect number in the gamebless.mes file. The only problem is when I go to the Arcanum\Data\Rules folder there is now effect.mes file. Is there anywhere I can download a copy so I can see the effect numbers?

When I used Arcanun everything went find until I went to export the file. It said I was missing zlib.dll and closed down. But I went to the extraction destination and there was the file I wanted except it was emptly like Arcanun created new files and named them accordingly. Any suggestions?

Suggestions would still be great because I like the graphical utility but I downloaded a command line utility from trokia and got the file that way. I'll keep my eye out for the specticals Canis.

    Hmm.

Do you have the most recent Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime Library installed on your computer? I think that .dll file is part of that. Of course, I could be horribly mistaken.

Link to the Visual Basic 6.0 SP5: Run-Time Redistribution Pack download page.

If the link doesn't work (who knows, it might not), just go to the main Microsoft page and search for Visual Basic under the downloads section.

Hope that solves the problem. Nifty little program, Arcanun.

Hmm. Link worked and it installed the files but still get the zlib.dll missing message. I guess I'll get used to command line again. Oh well. Thanks for the help.

    Hmm.

    Try this: http://www.winimage.com/zLibDll/

Get the second download, "zlib114dll.zip [94K] - pre-built zlib DLL". The zip file contains a bunch of files for developers, so just stick the actual zlib.dll in your C:\Windows\System directory and you should be set.

If it still doesn't work I could always email the blasted thing to you. I seem to have two of them, on in Win\Sys and another in my Netscape directory....

Thanks for all the help Canis. It still says the dll isnt there. Later tonight I will uninstall the program and try it again, since I have the dll now. Don't worry about sending it through email. I got the command line undat utility that Troika has on their site and it allowed me to get the file I wanted.

Somebody has probably answered this question before but I didn't see it. When finishing a quest in multi player using my mod even if the somebody in my party, another pc, completes the actual quest and reports back to the npc the log allways says I completed the quest and the party member's log says it was completed by a rival? Any tips?
