So, I just re-installed NWN2, since I just bought Storm of Zehir. I decided, however, that I'm going to play NWN2 all the way through again. So now I'm curious: Who do you all recommend taking in my party? Also, to those of you who played it: if I do NWN2 campaign, then SoZ, I'm going to be massively overpowered, aren't I?

    For reference:
    Ammon Jerro
    Bishop
    Casavir
    Construct
    Elanee
    Grobnar
    Khelgar
    Neeshka
    Qara
    Sand
    Shandra Jerro
    Zhjaeve

I don't think you're going to be massively overpowered as you create a brand new party from scratch in SoZ. Your original campaign character can be used in Mask of the Betrayer though.

People that should be in your party: Sand, Ammon Jerro, Khelgar and Elanee (or Qara if you want some bickering). Those would be my choices, if only because when it comes to annoying NPC's, Bioware overdid it with NWN2, and the ones I've recommended at least go mild on your sanity.

Sand is awesome, take him, and don't forget to appreciate his efforts. You don't wanna be stuck with frickin' Qara at the end.

Neeshka! Take the tief', damnit, she wins.

When it comes to the points when you HAVE to take either Ammon Jerro or Zhjaeve, take the Gith. She'll live longer and her abilities are far more useful. (Such a pity, the Warlock was such a cool idea but so badly balanced...)

Khelgar or Casavir for your frontliner. Both are equally useful and equally unirritating. Although if you're after a good laugh, take Khelgar.

Elanee is the best healer you can get before Zhjaeve, so bite the bullet and deal with the elf until you get the Gith.

Do let me know what SoZ is like, I saw a copy at EB the other day and I'm seriously considering buying it.

    i wasn't a fan of SoZ.

I lways gotta have Sand, Casavir and Bishop in there, other than that you're on your own for the rest.

Yes, and whenever she opens her mouth, which she has a tendency to all the time, it feels as if though someone is pushing a razor blade cotton swab through my ears.

Whatever you do though, don't pick Grobnar.

Grobnar is an annoying little shit. I prefer to go solo, so I only pick my followers based on their personality. Neeshka is always one of them.

Grobnar can burn in hell with all the photocopiers. If I want a bard in my party, I'll either play one myself or play BGII, which at least has a demented tiefling bard obsessed with entropy.

I always take Neeshka, because she is the only one that doesn't complain whenever you try to kill someone for no apparent reason :p

(Okay, I have never reached that far, but I am working my way through the game at the moment )

I wound up scrapping this idea, actually. I got enough of a craving for SoZ that I've started playing it. I may have to switch tracks though. I may do SoZ then the original NWN2 then MotB. I wish they would've made them concurrent level wise (ie: NWN2 goes levels 1-10, MotB goes 10-20, and SoZ goes 20-30).

Anyone have modules that they recommend I pick up, whilst I'm at it?

Same question here. I'd love a couple of decent modules to keep me occupied over my break time. (Then again, I had to trick my laptop into letting me run MOTB, so that might not be my best option right now... Still, t'was worth it, Gann is awesome.)

Aah. See, I'm currently very well distracted by Sims 3.

Sims 3 can bite me. At least until Pescado mods the living fuck out of it.

Bah. Fuck the Sims. Was much more fun back when it was Sim City and you could unleash alien invasions on 'em. Mwahahahaha.

I always thought is was funny in Sim City that if you built the military base the crime rate would go up in the area that you set it at. Also building schools next to a nuclear power plant is always amusing.

I only played SimCity when I was little and didn't understand that people needed BOTH water and electricity. Simply used the game as an odd version of paint. Regarding NWN2, fuck Bishop. He's worthless and stereotype.

    Why do you double post?
    Oh right...

I was suprised when I yesterday saw a big poster at a computer game shop saying "Sims 3 are now available!". Hell, I didn't even know it was being made (well, I was aware that in a further or closer future it will happen for sure, anyway). I thought they were still making hordes of incredible and original expansion packs to the second game.

Transparent Painting: Bishop is one of those characters I go through stints of loathing, then wanting to jump his bones to prove that my character is not some naive little wimp, then wanting to stab him while he sleeps, ad nauseum... He brings out the worst in me.

And I can never thank him enough. :D

This re-enforces the "if you want a girl, be a bitch to her" mentality.

Frankly, if I'd developed NWN2, I'd have put in a romance option for Sand. Snarky, intelligent, funny, wizard... Yeah, definately Sand. Bishop would have been killed rescuing Shandra, and all would be right with the world...

Sand >>>>> Every Other NPC in NWN2 OC.

I wasn't a big fan of Sand, actually. I have a low tolerance for snarky assholes, and that's what I felt he was...
