I have a bug with my multiplayer character. Each time i host all i see is ocean, i cant see my character. All i see is ocean!! When i try another character it works. When i join a server with the buggy character Arcanum crashes.. A known bug? Can anybody help?!?! I NEED HELP!! GAAAH!
Hi, welcome to the HoL. :wavey: I don't play multiplayer, but the first best advice is always, run the repair option from the install disk & if you are not patched, get patched.
Mods = modifactions to the game, usualy writen by fans. A number are available to fix bugs, make spells or guns more powerful, add folowers, have in game cheats, or even extend the game. They sometimes interact poorly with each other or change unplaned things inthe game. If you don't know what they are, it is safe to assume you don't have any.
I don`t think its the mods, i have none of those installed. All i have is some modules, and that is not a mod. But that with the character happened when i attacked a nice little lady. In other words, i attacked som friendly barter lady in Vormantown. She killed me. And after that all i see is ocean whatever i do, host, join aso... The same thing happened to a friend when he attacked a friendly shopkeeper in multiplayer. This is a major bug?
Sounds like one to me. Try the repair option, or even uninstall & reinstall. You can do that & leave your saved games & modules intact. Repeat. Are you patched? With the 1074 patch? Do you have a save from before your sensless slaughter? Otherwise, that PC may be unuseable.
Yes, i do have the newest patch. This is in multiplayer. So when im dead an there is no one to resurrect me i have to quit and host again. And when i do so, ocean, all ocean. But when i take another character and kill monsters and they kill me everythings fine. But those damn townspeople/shopkeepers. When they kill me, BUG..... Ill try the repair, but this is only for one character. So i do not think it will help. But all character get the same bug when i attack shopkeepers and they kill me. I have tested it out.
If you are using Vormantown, try a different charcter. If you are using a downloaded module, download it again and try again. If you MADE the module, recompress it and try again. This has happened to me often on custom modules, and recompressing the mod always helps.
