    Hi everyone!

I just got the game but there is some problem with running it. I decided to post it here if anyone knows what might be causing the problems.

    Ok, the problem is this:

As I start to run the game, it shows the Sierra and Troika logos, but as soon as the "game loading" screen (with the picture of a train) turns up, the game crashes and takes me back to the Windows. No error messages, no weird effects - but it happens every time.

My computer meets the system requirements well and I haven't had problems running any other games. I updated the game and tried to re-install it but the problem stays the same. :(

If there are any computer-wizards around who could suggest anything to help the situation, I'd appreciate it a LOT.

Here's my hardware if it helps

    Intel Pentium III 450 MHz
    64 MB RAM
    Voodoo5 5500 AGP
    VIA audio soundcard
    Win98

^ Nope. There's no scratches on the disk - it seems just fine.

I also sent this problem to Sierra, but there's no answer from there yet. I'm itching to get to play this game, but this problem really sucks 'cause I don't know if there's a problem with my cpu or with this particular copy of the game (in which case I could get it replaced in the store).

If it's the problem I'm thinking of close everything (Ctrl+Alt+Del) leaving only explorer running and start the game. After it loads you won't have to repeat this operation. It's a strange bug that came to be with v.1070 IIRC.

Alos might be worth checking for viruses. There are plenty out there that just eat memory and it sounds like you are having a memory problem or a problem with a corrupt file.

Probably worth checkingDragoon's idead first though rather than just wasting lots of time!
