Ever since my half-elven started exploring the world, she had trouble with her allies. She encountered Virgil, and things were fine, then she went to Tarant, and got cursed by a gipsy. Ever since then, she got nothing but troubles... First there was Magnus. He seemed fine, but for some reason took offence to us defending ourselves from Barbarian, so he had to be striped naked and left in the wilderness. Then there was Janya Stiles. "I don't like Magik, she said"... And Torian Kel. "Watch out! Another skeleton is coming our way!! *Desintegrate*" Dog: "What's this dead dog doing in the middle of the street?" Geoffrey Tarellond-Ashe: "You are too good for me." Thorvald Two Stones: That ungratefull son of a mule abandoned us at the first sight of his home. Jormund: Ever heard of disseapering bottle and mute elven shopkeepers? I blame that gipsy and her curse for all that... Too bad her body is gone, or she would hear from me... :x
I have the patch installed, and I know that the Gipsy can bless you instead, and I also know that Thorvald Two Stones leave when you take him to his clan... But my character didn't.
hehehehe.......... You're learning huh? gaining experience! now transfer it to your character with a new game. No offense BUT save before doing something! If it don't work reload. We've ALL been where you just came from, tried all the answers to see the difference and believe me there are some drastic differences. Just wait till your persuation gets up there and the conversations change! Poor old dog though, never knew he existed and now i get him when I'm lvl 4. quick trip from SH to Derholm to blackroot and the train to ashbury! I believe you have just joined the arcanum bunch here! Glad to have yah aboard! Parmanian
so you just remember for the next game.....eh? Like those conversations in the bar...... If you can't get them to play for 500 just reload and ask again! and the ones that are gonna fight you anyway, you leave them to last, after you got all the money out of the others! Its all a learning thing! Parmanian
I used to play that way ONCE! Now I play to try and find the best way to build my party of 10, getting them and having them level with me so they are my level. Forcing qintarra to get jormond at lvl 19, best way to get the gods quest done, various ways to get out of things or into! There are a lot of ways around this world and the more things you find out, the better. Like that chemists wife in qintarra, I still can't get the conversation starting with the glass. I've been 5 ranks persuation, 20 cha and 15 intelligence and still can't get the conversation links. Theres a secret there and I'm gonna find it! Parmanian
I usually just venerate one god, and only do things my characters would do. For example, the half-elf female I am playing dislike stupid brutes (half-ogre and half orc) so she never travel with them, and try to ignore most of them. For the Alchemist's wife, I don't know... maybe you need good perception? Wait... did you use black necromancy to raise the spirit of Wrath and learn that he got poisoned? Then you talk to the dwarf, and tell him you raised the spirit and it told you it got poisoned. The dwarf then tell you to go see the alchemist. Did you do that? That's as far as I went.
after talking to jormond first, I just went to the dead guy and got the glass from him. Went back and talked to the guard then jormond then he sends you to the chemist. I wait till she leaves then steal the vial then talk to her in the morning, free jormond and then add him to party and off we go. this is done at lvl 19 and BEFORE I'm supposed to be in qintarra. parmanian
Before picking up the glass, use the second level black necromancy spell that allow you to talk to the dead on Wrath, he's going to tell you he got poisoned, and that he had lots of ennemies. Then you will have a new dialog option while talking to the Dwarf. He's going to tell you to go talk to the alchemist, as he is the only person in Quintara with access to poison. This should probably give you a new dialog option from the alchemist's wife.
Talk to Jormund again after getting the Vial & talking to the guard. That, without spell use, should open the dialog. I have run across the Wrath poisoning himself dialog path, but have never found a way to exploit it. Yet.
the vial dialog is never the problem, its the glass dialog I can't get to work. But I'll keep trying different stat points. I can't be master at that time, even If I do follow the storyline because willousby doesn't show up until you get back to tarant. If I waited to become master before I do the jormond quest, I'd be lvl 30 something and hes only 20. Parmanian
Pardon, I meant the glass you get from Wrath. Corrected: Talk to Jormund again after getting the glass from the corpse & talking to the guard. That, without spell use, should open the dialog.
thats part of the storyline....correct.... you have to do that to talk to the chemist. but if you don't have the vial that is in the vase then you won't get the vial dialog, and for me, thats the only dialog I can get to work with the chemist. Now what I haven't tried is after I get the vial, go back and talk to jormond about the vial. I don't see what that would do for the glass option with the chemist though. There are things in this game that are supposed to be able to work. This is one that I can't figure out yet. Then another thing, I haven't tried the not having the vial in hand. Maybe the glass dialog only works when you don't have the vial. But would the chemist say hey I have this vial back here! don't think so, it would make her think that her old man did kill wrath. Theres got to be a way to get that glass dialog to work. Parmanian
