hello dolmard, it should go back after you take the weapon off i think, i don't think i actually used any of those items so i'm not sure
Sometimes you can never get them back. Another example of why you should always identify items before using them. What I always do, go to one of the women in a various town. Save game. Identify all items. If they are goods, use or sell. If they are cursed, restore game, identify good items, sell unidentified items.
It's a bug (or game design flaw, or whatever you want to call it) with this particular sword. The only way I know to get your dex back is to go back to an older saved game and not equipping it. That or grab the save game editor and change your dex back to what it was.
I'm amazed that they don't change these things like the sword, the helm, one time trip to isle of despair or the "magnus thinks pig is an endagered species" glitches. why? can anyone answer?
I wish identify scrolls would work as they did in the demo. It would be nice to identify the magic necklaces found in the Void along with saving a few trips to the Wise Woman. Aye, the one time trip to the Isle of Despair doesn't seem right if you go to the hassle of getting a boat of your own. IMO we should also be able to explore the other islands, i.e., where the castaways were rescued from, etc.. Ginger would look HOT in Dread Armour. Yet I did notice after going to HalfOgre Island, I could revisit it again and again by booking passage (not via my own boat). Seaching revealed nothing new besides the laboratory cleanup. Is Jimmy Hoffa buried there or something? Killing any livestock in the game increases your character's evil alignment, even if it is part of a quest (like clearing out the pigs in Ashbury). I didn't try using the rabbit cage on them.
