I like DE's, but would like to see a bit more clarity in the picture of Muro.
It just seem like it would be unidentifiable when shrunk to avvy size.

If the red light would be much softer rather taking over the entire picture, I'd go with it. As it is, if shrunken down, it'd be unrecognizable.

Muro doesn't have an avatar yet. This is difficult, I admit, because of the fact that the non-custom Avvy fits him perfectly as it is. Maybe there are some Lou Tenant fanarts on the Fallout Wiki.

You know, you could always "remove" Muro's current pic from the gallery, so the current picture becomes special.

    Just saying.

That would feel like such a cop-out to me.

I actually think it's a pretty good idea, even if it IS a bit of a copout. The avatar he's already got is just so... perfect. So unless someone can find an appropriately squee-inducing fanart of the gentleman in question so we can enjoy the sheer WTF factor, I vote we go with Mesteut's suggestion.

Well, at least expand it to the same size as Xiao and Papa Dog.

I didn't want to participate in the discussion in this thread (its part about my possible custom, to be exact), for I really like the custom avatar tradition and I didn't want to push the House's thoughts in any direction. I know I'm not the one to judge if I'm worthy or not and I figured that if the avatar will be chosen, that's great, and if not, there's no need to worry - maybe in a next thousand or two I will have more luck.

Yet I can see that the discussion is slow not necessarily because of lack of interest but rather due to it being stuck because of how high standarts were set. To expand: a decision has been made, and a pretty unanimous decision it was ("Muro should stay with Lou"), yet there are no means to bring the said decision into effect - it seems that there's existing fanart of Lou (how in the world is that possible, anyway?) and we lack members bored enough to waste their time on GIMPing. I figured here is where I can come in.

I am aware that I don't have a say (nor would I want to have one really, it would destroy the whole value of the tradition), but lacking a vote doesn't mean I can't give any propositions for the community to consider. Inspired by DE's suggestion and Lou's cameo in the Fallout 2 intro I launched GIMP and gave it a try. The results are as follows:

This, in turn, would be the accompanying signature:

    What does the House think?

I concur, though I do find that eye kind of bright.
So we've decided on an avatar?

    How about a title?
    Lieutenant
    Lou Tenant
    Crazy Fetish Guy
    Fetish Guy
    Furry Lou

I still stand by this title idea

And I do like the blue Lou. I didn't think the light was bright until Xz mentioned it (probably out of jealousy that somebody was stealing his colour, damn blue nazi), but now that he has mentioned it, it does kinda hurt my eyes.

    I'll go with blue, too.
Although, it'd be cool if the light could be toned down just a bit. Not much.

I think she meant the shine on the, eyeglass, was it called? It's so bright, it survives 20 times darkening. =o

P.S. I think it's nice, looks like a "tech upgrade" to your current avatar & sig, which is all too well.

Use a burn filter on the eye-thing.

You wouldn't expect a mere darkening tool to overshadow the power of my mighty Arcane Monocle, would you now?

I agree, I like that point of view as well.

That wouldn't do. I used the burn tool all along, but the white centre turned out to be immume, as we can see above.

Instead of doing that, I removed the shine effect and redone it in a smaller scale. How does it look now? Still too bright?

The new, lesser shine does look better.

I amend my earlier statement. Go with the lesser shine one.

I like the red/natural colors over the blue, personally.
