Due to relatively quick response, this was frankly amazing. Bravo!

You got me Grakelin, I'm obviously Captain Obvious!

Honestly as much as I love Johnny from V:tM - B, I would always pick a repugnant hideous Nosferatu if I was going to make such a sock puppet account (C.F. Vendigrothian's pic).

Because there's no proof of dogs or cats from domestic stock surviving on their own, ever. I've never even heard of packs of feral dogs, or the feral cat problem in Australia.

If by "teaching ourselves that lesson" you mean inducing a bottleneck situation where genetic variability gets thrown out the window then sure, we can "teach" ourselves how to die of incest. Dogs, the most selectively bred species on the planet, are at least twice as variable genetically as a comparably healthy human. They can be quite genetically different from breed to breed - the comparison I used was within breeding groups.

What are you talking about? I hadn't replied to or even noticed anything about genetics or breeding. I said we perhaps needed being taught a lesson, you suggested aliens would do it and I countered with that we'd probably do it ourselves. Nothing about breeding there. Don't care shit about breeding either, especially when it comes to humans; somehow we've managed not to get inbred a a species for quite some time. I think we'll last for a little longer before anything serious happens. And if we can't solve things the natural way we'll just adapt the system to our needs via our awesome technology and change the genepool manually. But I don't want to discuss genetics so please don't get all worked up about that. I won't engage in a conversation about it.

Seven billion people inhabiting Tellus, and Grossenschwamm is worried about inbreeding?

Grossenschwamm also worries that vegetarians don't eat their own shit often enough.

I was using that as the most likely scenario of "learning the lesson," as I'd guess you have more faith in humanity's intelligence as a whole than I do. The short answer is, people either have to consume a 3rd of the resources they currently do, or billions of people have to die - or we'll bottleneck and become even more related to our neighbors than we already are.

    I always worry about inbreeding.

Vegans. I just want the shit that comes out of their mouths about nutrition to match what they actually eat.

Guess that makes for some awkward conversations.

    - Yo Grossenschwamm, my man, long time no see! You look worried, pal, what's on your mind?
    - INBREEDING

    How strange...
It´s the first time i actually know of a misanthrope that is actually alive!
I actually didn't consider myself a misanthrope, but a social dejected, or even antisocial, but then i noticed a great hatred for people around me, people i knew from long time, people i even used to admire, actually people i can trust are counted with the fingers of one single hand.
but even now i think i´m a little extreme of thought:
I'm misanthrope, antitheist, i discourage many ways of a getting pleasure, and i shield myself behind a screen, mostly to avoid thinking of our rotting, worm ridden, unattended, and disgusting society, where everybody satisfies his own no matter how many people gets f####d in the process, a race that fights for whomever they believe their deity and kill their fellow humans in their name, a race lacking empathy, driven by a hunger of transforming and going higher, while they become less and less human, until that point where they´re not individuals anymore, a race that is actually the source and will be the end of all those horrible things happening to our beautiful planet, where a fashion magazine can be worth more than a square mile of life, and is somehow cruel the thought of hating those who gave birth to me, but life is not roses, and men are men, they'll NEVER change.
(Too bad we don't share the planet with another "intelligent" race, such as elves and dwarves).

I know i may be quite rude, but i had a really bad week, every thing that happened seemed on purpose to grow my hatred, it had been so long since i was this deceived and since i cried like i have.
Anyway ytzk, it is nice to know of someone with similar thoughts, it really made my dinner-time!

    Whoa hey, dwarves aren't real?!

*Runs a quick internet search; mid·get - An unusually small person*

And all this time I thought dwarves were real. Mind=blown.

Racial, cultural and religious tension sure helps the world a bunch, so yeah I don't see how adding a whole new species could do anything but good.

sorry if i confused someone, that comment was actually a very bad humored joke, considering the forums we're at and the situation between races in every single rpg...
(Thats why it was like this)
so i guess I'll try to not joke while angry, my mind was really, really foggy last night.

*Stands up* My name is Arthgon and I must admit that I am a misanthrope. Like all of you. Why should we give humanity one more chance, if they screw up yet again? You know that we do not need alien overlords? (IF they exist) We are going to destroy ourselves anyway. Viruses, nukes, chemical warfare, pollution and genetics. Take a pick.

Has anyone seen the doc. 'Life after People'?

Once humanity is gone, life goes on. Just the animals and some things will be the proof that we really have existed. We are just animals with clothes on.

Well, there's good news and bad news.

The good news is that there is no cosmic justice beyond cause and effect.

The bad news is that cause and effect is a bitch.
