I agree with both points. Between vidyamagames and the webmotrons I find I don't watch much TV and do not miss it.

And I'd move if a certain location was unable to acquire internet access. Easy decision to make in this modern age.

Much as I would LOVE to agree with you guys, I get the ABC (the AUSTRALIAN one, smart-asses) and there's just too much funny, entertaining and informative shit on there for me to give it up.

Oooooooh, Tim Minchin's on tomorrow night. Lucky me!

Fuck you, Grakelin. Either you've never heard Tim Minchin's songs or you're completely lacking in humour. Either way, I'ma gonna kick you in the balls.

Wobbler: That's what got me into this predicament!

Xiao: Yes it does - and glad to see you too.

DarkFool: The town hasn't fully caught up with the 21st Century yet.
On a side note - my new service is running a lot faster than I expected. They must have replaced the phone lines along this road....

Everyone suggesting that I move for better internet service: I'm going to go over this problem!

My place just happens to have an old-fashioned TV antenna on a rediculously tall pole - 45 feet from the ground up! - which just happens to stick up above the ridge-line that's creating the dead spot.
In simplest terms, all I have to do is swap out the antenna for a mounting bracket with a couple plates to hold the wireless broadband reciever and a satellite disk, add some guide wires at the top, and call the problem solved.

Oh, if that's all you needed to do, why did you wait so long?

    He's recovering from an injury.

Whoever lives closest to his place should head out and do that for him ASAP.

    Vorak: Close but no cookie.
Factoring in all the different expenses - making the bracket, purchasing the reciever, service fees, etc. - it's going to set me back somewhere around $600 to make this work; and that's $575 more than I have at the moment.

Well whoever lives closest needs to bring an extra $575 with them.
