Message Window in Hard Arcanum

Have'nt played Arcanum for a long time, but just started again using the Hard Arcanum mod. However, im confused about the lack of feedback (e.g., you gained x experience, you made a level, you are poisoned). I thought i remembered getting this feed back in main window (where info regarding npcs is also shown). However, I havent been able to find any such feedback. Was this never there to begin with and my memory's faulty, or is there some bug or characteristic of Hard Arcanum which makes this unviewable. Really bugging me. Any input appreciated.

 

there was such a window in normal Arcanum, but what happened to it I know not, as I am too lazy to install Hard Arcanum :lol:
