naw, Fish is built solid. if he gets me in a decent headlock, i'm screwed. on the other hand, i have the thighs of a goddess... if i get him in a scissorlock, i win... i say tie. which is what a marriage should be, really.

It's strange how Christians whinge about Jul (Yule) not being really Christian anymore, when pagan vikings celebrated it long before the introduction of Christianity...

They only whinge about it because they're stupid. I say take the christ out of christmas, and just celebrate family, food, and generosity.

Do you have any idea what that sounds like in English?

Vinter is another term for wine-maker and blot is a spot of something or the action of removing a spot.

So it's not a vintner, then?

(Ha! That showed him! Last time he'll defame the Nordic tongue, language of skalds and heroes... Dangfool American not seeing the word "winter" there. *mumble grumble* *withdraws in fury*)

Having given the matter serious consideration these past days, I have come to the conclusion that rroyo is a perfectly acceptable specimen of poster that I would not like to find myself on the wrong side of. Hence I very much think it would help if you said you were sorry, in which case I would jump for joy and immediately proceed to forgive you, and additionally give you a manly clap on the shoulder to prove we were, once more, the best of friends. Huzzah!

Oh, well... In that case -

I would like to offer my most sincere appologies to Spuddy in particular, and to any and all others that my ill-advised attempt at humor may have annoyed.
    Midvinterblot it is.

The name still sounds amusing to these Yankee ears.

Hurrah! Me and rroyo, the best of friends once more! Now to jump into the old jalopy and cruise the seedy underbelly of our formerly fair town for young nubile wenches to have our wicked ways with!

Huraah once more I shout; yea, verily, a third time the cheer doth rise from my throat, though dry as parchment it may currently be: Hurrah!

I hope that's not an infamous armed potato for which I got a honorable medal from Spuddy?
