The Brahmin are the religious caste of the sikh indians (well, the only indians I have ever had anything to do with).

Here -> http://www.sikh.com.au/inaus/wool.html is where I grew up. In fact, my parents live only a stone's throw from the temple. I went to school with plenty of sikhs, although the caste system has long been shut down.

Brahman cattle are very resiliant cattle, especailly in places such as Queensland as they are what is known as "tick-proof", which means they don't attract ticks like other breeds, and are not as affected by them. Brahman cross-breeds such as brafords (a cross between the brahman and the hereford) are becoming very popular.
