I read the master persuasion quest and got nicely confused. Should I follow Willoughsby's orders or kill the King. Is there anyway to do both? I havent even gone to Caladon yet... Does anyone know the best answers to give to the representatives? I don't want to mess up. Thanks
I do not believe you can kill the king and still become a persuasion master. All the right answers to the advisors are in the briefing Willoughsby gave you. If you have 20 charisma they'll agree to anything you say, but that doesn't mean Willoughsby will be pleased with your performance. I say make two saves. Then in one game, go kill the king. In the other, talk to the advisors and reload until you are persuasion master and ambassador. (Yes, I'm just too damn lazy to spell out the whole negotiation dialogue for you. )
Remember, if you do the Persuasion master quest, Tarant will abuse Arland to death if it joins! Try to do Donn Throgg's quest before ending the game! To kill King Farad you must go through the Arland castle to his chamber highly guarded, but there're some vents you can go through and avoid the guards. Anyway I don't recomend killing King Farad, because after that all Caladon will hate you. And when you enter the Caladon castle (doing the persuasion master quest) there will be a lot of people of the government of Arland that will ask you to... help them, in exchange of some money... don't do that or Willoughsby won't train you. PS: remember to kill Willoughsby after finishing the quest.
No, first become persuasion Master, then kill the king. Killing the king should only be done when you are positive you are through with Caladon. BTW, the ambasador gets special access in the castle, the dude who sets you err... gives you the job says so. IMHO, if you do good enough you will make out best. You can throw one or two of the suplicants things in there. Willoughsby would even like one, at least. No, only if you ace the test.
Don't talk bad about my sword, Canis! :x Well... you don't need to kill Willoughsby , but it's funny how you kill him in front of Caladon guards and they just look! ...It shows how much they like Tarant's president.
