Master Quest question (Garrick)

I'm about to travel to Dernholm to talk to Garrick about becoming a melee master. Since he's a jerk, will there be negative ramifications if I kill him?
No spoilers if possible.

Yes, if there are guards around and they see you attacking Stout, they will try to beat your ass. And depending on what kind of character you're playing, they can be pretty tough, too.

 

Charm him and out of town then kill him.

 

First you should go to stillwater and speak
with the blind guy in the west side of the
town(he is the dodge master).-before you speak to him get yourself an expert training
in dodge.

After he will tell you his story you will
know what to do.

The first part is my motto - I came up with it myself, and it fits me, my philosophy and my choices.

The second part is my favourite saying, and one that I tend to stick by as well as my motto. I actually saw it on a bus as part of a Johnny Walker ad, and I thought it was rather cool. I've really got to get around to reading all those great military texts some day...
