I thought these gauntlets were supposed to give 2 dex, 2 str, and 2 con, im at 71 tech and they only give 1 str, 1 con and 2 dex...do i have to be even higher tech?
Yes it's based on species (gotta be a dwarf to get anything) and TA. I've heard that a dwarf with 100 TA will get +3 to those stats.
Thats whats odd, im using a dwarf, and presently i have 88 TA, still 1 str 1 con and 2 dex..i hope it kicks up to 2 2 2 at least, 3 would be a bonus, but i at least would like twos
while I have magnus waiting and loghaire in group, I give the gauntlets to loghaire and magnus has to mouth off, then I tell him, hey hold on I'm CHA 20 and you have to put up with what I do, and he shuts up! Parmanian

I think with Harrow any dwarf hits hard with it. It shows no damage figure but I have seen first hand how thorvald and/or Loghaire can deal out the damage. parmanian
Harrow is the axe given to you by Loghaire when you convince him to return to the throne. Good-aligned dwarves get damage bonuses using it. Hey, did you try taking your gauntlets off and putting them back on? When I first get Magnus they don't work properly otherwise.
I have tried taking them off and putting them on...hopefully its not because i took them from magnus, he never joined my team..that shouldnt make a difference i wouldnt think.
so what you do kill the poor guy before the guantlets get activated? I think you have to have him join, activate his guantlets by just clicking on them and unclicking. Look at magnus character sheet and see if str/cn/dex are green, then steal them and have him bitch about it, then have him go away. I've always kept the little fart to make things for me. Parmanian
They are active, and Magnus is still alive, i wouldnt kill him as im playing a good character, i just pickpocketed the things. They only do about a third of what they are supposed to do though, and it is still this way even with 100% tech, my dwarf now has machined plate, drochs warbringer, some other nice stuff, and about to get ready to get the bedokaan village opened up so i can do the gods quest.
So you never had magnus in your party? If you didn't then his guantlets were not activated for him! I made that same mistake of not activating the guantlets for magnus. Made the post and was told why his numbers were not green. All I'm saying is that maybe is why you are not getting full charge from them! Parmanian
