Magnus and Vollinger Problems

Sometimes when I tell Magnus to wait then ask him to rejoin the idoit says that I went to talk to the Schylers BUT WE KILLED THEM ALL AND THE BODIES ARE GONE and then I saved I have an extra save but that's one hour earlier so is there any other way to fix this.

Does count as a follower first he didn't care how much followers I had and joined then I went to get Gar and had to tell him to wait cause I had too much followers got Gar but Vollinger didn't want to join said i had too many guys so I loaded repeated except told everyone to wait to check who was the extra after getting Gar everyone rejoined and I asked Vollinger first and Sogg last so is who is my extra except for Dog I have Virgil, Magnus, Sogg, Dog, Vollinger and Gar and have 12 charisma and expert in persuasion.

 

with 12 cha and expert persuation your allowed 4 followers, 16 cha = 5 and 20 cha = 6

the only free one you got is dog, the rest take up a slot so you have one to many for now.

You can try and keep going, swapping who waits until you get cha 16.

Did you do the crystal ball quest to get the cha blessing? Remember you have to find the painting first before you do this quest.

Did you get the jewel of hebe from the Panari temple to get cha +1?

That would get you to cha 15, only need one more CP.

That is a known bug that is fixed by the patch. Get the patch. Go back those few hours. All well worth it.

I am comming to believe that the follower limit is a tad flexable in the unpatched game. There are 4 "free" followers, those who do not take up a follower slot. Three humanoids & Dog. You have none of the three, only Dog. Whoever joined last is your extra.
