Magickally held chest unlock

Dear fellow arcanum fan(atic)s,

Does any of you, kindly know how to unlock a magickally held chest.
It is well in my power to start killing the poor thing that's guarding it, but I believe I should ASK first, and SHOOT later.

My sincere thanks to the one that enlightens me, and my profound apologies if there is another post concerning the matter.

Unlocking cantrip? Other than that just kill the bugger.

 

Dispel Magic scroll?

 

Yes, it DOES involve dispel magick.
Whether it be scroll or aptitude, I don't think it really matters. I've used my own spell, but I'm a 100% mage so everything magick works for me.

Of course, if you have already spoken to the seller that possessed the magickally held chest, then it's of no use now. The shopkeeper does have all these cool stuff at first, but on later visits POOF all gone. Anyway, I guess I should have read the stuff written by the beta developer.
