While I know that there have bean (ha! good pun!) ... (yes, I know it's spelled, "been", I just couldn't resist!) many discussions about how to use them, my question is how to get them. Whenever I try to talk to the gnomes, the younger one says something rude to me, and no matter what I say, they attack me. Hmmm... since I'm not evil, I'd rather not kill them. I'm thinking about just pickpocketing them, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I have 18 CH and maxed Per. ... in case that matters.
You shouldn't have a problem with this one. Before talking to them try watching them cause I think they have to talk to each other first. The older gnome needs to insult the younger one first, once they finished then talk to them they should offer to sell them fairly quickly after this.
Hmmm... I stood around for awhile but nothing happened. How long should I stand around? When I try to talk to the older gnome, it says that the younger one interupts. Should I just try to pick pocket the beans?
When you first walk onto their sceen you should notice text coming from each. Once they are done talking to either one should produce the desired results (the gnome will tell you to bug off or to talk to his partner) if not then yeah pick pocket the halfling. :wink:
Take them to a wise woman & have them identified. They are cheap if you paid for them & cheaper if you didn't.
