Hey guys. Arcanum is a cool game. I like it and I like Magic: The Gathering. If you like Arcanum I think you could like Magic: The Gathering. Not the real game with the cards, but a role-playing game based in the Magic: The Gathering universe. Just see the link in my signature. It's called Legacy of Dominia. It's for those who like role-playing and creativity and stuff like that. If you have no clue what Magic: The Gathering is, still go there and read up on it and look at the useful links section of the thread. Visit the links and learn more about the game. This is role-playing set in the Magic: The Gathering universe (or multiverse depending on how you look at it), and isn't the real game (though cards are characters). I can't explain it here in detail. Just visit the link if you're interested. You have to register at the Frontier first. If we get enough players we get our own forum at the Frontier. I'll be the game master/moderator. Just post that you've joined or post any questions in the thread that the link goes to. The role-playing game is text-based and is played off of a forum at the Frontier (if we get enough players). Thanks. _________________ The multiverse of Dominia has its eyes open... Hey. No, I'm not one of those guys that's trying to promote a game. Don't worry. I'll be around here more often posting a lot of different things. I just wanted people that like role-playing to notice this and maybe I could get more players. So no, I'll be posting more don't worry. _________________ The multiverse of Dominia has its eyes open... Realms and heroes will live and die... Humm, this reminds me of something... Thenomain (the guy that created ModWorld) was working on an Arcanum-themed collectible card game, well before Arcanum came out. I wonder what happened to that? I'll need to ask him that next time he shows his face on IRC... [ This Message was edited by: Calis on 2001-12-28 10:25 ]
Hey Prof., nice to see a little Magic every now and then. A few years back I played the card game for a while. Only got up to a few hundred cards, but I really got hooked on the computer game version. I gave it all up after several failed attempts to get a copy of Duels of the Planeswalkers. I don't have time for a deep RPG, but I'd be interested if you hear about any other computer versions. I find the game so much easier when I don't need to find a meat opponent and a 6*6 flat area to play on. Your RPG looks cool. If I did have the time, I'd give it a go.
Calis, that sounds interesting. Any more information on that? Sherrif, that's cool. I wish you had some time. Yeah, I do have some information for you. Spring 2002 a Magic: The Gathering online game will be released in stores that will let you buy and trade decks online then play games online in a service fast like battle.net but with more players and realms. Go to http://www.magiclore.com for more information on that. Thanks for the comments on my RPG though. Hell I appreciate even you bothering to look at it.
i have duel of the planeswalkers... heh heh heh. somewhere. jes one question-hardwig, isnt magic set in *Dominaria*? just checking.
Thanks Prof. That's definitely one to look forward to. Boy I miss the copany I used to work at where all the developers would pull out their decks and slap them on the table at lunchtime. Their decks dammit.
Magic: The Gathering is set in the multiverse of Dominia. This multiverse is home to several planes, or dimensions. One of these planes, the largest of them all, is Dominaria. That's where the most action takes place. My role-playing game takes place in the entire multiverse (only certain planes, actually, but more than Dominaria). Therefore, it's the legacy of Dominia, and not Dominaria.
