In my current game, my character's tech aptitude is about to go over 70 which means magic shops will no longer sell me anything. What I was wondering is do the various magic armourers and magic shops in Caladon and Qintarra and other places sell anything worthwhile?
if you want stuff for magic followers, invest points in lockpick. youre already tech so it wont mess with your aptitude

Why Lockpick, and why is my current lockpick usable? (It's a Mk1 Elephant Gun Lockpick, kind of noisy, but will open any locked container or door) Do you mean I should steal their inventories?
Absolutely. Rob them blind, the little limp-wristed magickal pantywaistes. Snobs who'll just as soon kill you just for deigning to talk to them.... Well, if it's consistent with your character I mean. *cough*
Magick traders in Quintarra trade with you even if you're 100 tech, both of them. Ellemun even sells some bullets. Elephant gun can be a good lockpick, but not if you're planning to raid the same chest again and again, like I do with the magick shop in Tarant. Lock picking isn't a bad idea at all.
How does that affect alignment? Is it the same as pickpocketing where each attempt (success or fail) results in -1? At present, I've only stolen one item and my current alignment is 88. It was 95 but I lost 5 for firearm mastery, 1 when I got the sword of Baltar and 1 when Sogg decided a Love Light was a valid target in the graveyard. I confess, I'm a hopeless goody two-shoes type when playing rpgs. EDIT section. I also used the Mk2 Dynamite Lockpick and will soon start using the Mk3 Plastique Lockpick. Remember the dwarves from Warcraft 2? "Bombs are great" "I love blowing things up" "Tilt one back with my dog."
Only 88 and you call yourself a goody twoshoes? You only get that honor when you keep the alignment at a steady 100 at an early time, and weep uncontrolably if it goes down a single point.
