Greeting everyone, Im in a bit of a bind, you see I have a nice mage character, a temporal mage so to speak, you know the type, slow everyone down speed themselves up rip all competition to shreds before they know what hits them. But I'm at the point of the game where I can start getting some stats up in the 20 somethings and I was wondering which stats are worth getting to 20, considering I don't want to waste any cps, I was thniking of DX because then my speed would be unthinkably high, but what others should I pursue maxing? WP? CN? IN? I'm not sure which ones are worth it and which ones are not, Thank you for your help ~Hwi _________________ AAAAAAAAH A BEE! [ This Message was edited by: HwiNoree on 2002-02-11 13:09 ]
Hmm... let's see. STR - Double Damage. Don't choose this unless you're a fighter/mage. DEX - Increased Speed. Useful for any character. CON - Immunity to poison. Unless someone hacked it so it gives bonus FT and HP, I won't recommend this. You can drink potions, have Virgil heal you, or just use an occasional healing and ignore it. But a mage will probably have the spell already... it only costs 2CPs to learn. INT - I can't remember what it does over 20? WIS - Auto save against certain spells. Remind me - when was the last time a monster cast a mind-influencing spell on you? CHA - 100% loyal followers. A big "Nah" - unless you want Persuasion Master and an army of followers.
No, that's Perception. The Intelligence bonus is good -- +10% to all skills. And, because the number of spells you can maintain at one time is dependant on INT, I recommend mages max it out. WP is also important for a mage, as it determines the spell levels he may learn.
well fuck me your right!.... i've really got to get to sleep and pay more attention to what i'm typing i guess
Thanks go out to all for your help. As it seems the popular stats to get to 20 are DX and WP thank you, and by the way I really could care less about followers scince I only use Virgil for moral support and he is the only follower I am allowed to have. And all I care about CN is the fatigue healing rate so if it doesnt double it I wont even bother, thanks again ~Hwi
You don't have to act so surprised, nobodie! And Hwi, if you're a mage, I'll just mention INT one more time. The number of spells you can maintain at one time is your INT divided by four. So at 16 you can have 4 spells going. You'll have to max INT to 20 in order to have 5 spells going at the same time. Of course, you may not need that ability, but when I play a mage, I play a freakin' MAGE, baby!! Enjoy the game.
