Could anyone could tell me exacly stats on this armor? Or at last AC/DR, also I did like to know if stats changes if its small or regular size armor. And FINALLY does Machined plate made from schematics have otehr stats than the 2 others you can find in Ashbury?I searched at web but couldnt find site containing info about this armor. Gonna play tech-character this time after long break and dunno if this armor is worth something. Thanks in advance.
Not sure what two armors your talking about from Ashbury, but the Machined Plate you get from the missing techies workshop is 5 AC points less than the stuff you make yourself. Elite plate? Dont bother, its heavy and nobody will equip it. Looks cool though..... I prefer the Electro-Armor myself, its lighter and has better stats. Its a purchased schematic, but its better than anything else out there, in my opinion. My suggestion, build em all and try them out. Plus, its great fun to irritate the magic shop owners.
Machined Platemail: AC 30 Magic AC -10 (you lose 10AC if you are magickal) Move silent -90 Resistance Damage 20 Fire 20 Magic Adjustment to Resistance (these are bad because they are negative) Damage -5 Fire -10 Electrical -20 Poison -20 Weight: 1200 Large and small are mostly the same but for some bizarre reason large plate grants a 20 poison resistance. There is no strength enhancement. The script was never made for this. There is a hack available to grant a strength bonus (doesn't scale). I've also included an advanced version (scales) in my uber hack but I haven't released it yet.
I'm not so sure of that. I made elite plate and for a medium size, it weighs 800 stone whereas machined plate weighs 1200 stone. As for the original post, there are two machined plate mails in Ashbury. The one Theodore sends you to get from the scientician and the one that Willebecker is wearing when you do the Firearms master quest. If you want to look at a small machined plate mail, the dwarven smith in Caladon is wearing one. You can view it when you barter with him or use the pickpockets skill but don't take anything (well unless you really want to). As for personal preference, I usually either go with Elite plate or Electro armor but it depends on my character's build and what I'll be going up against. If I know I'm going to fight fire elementals, I'll wear the elite plate, otherwise electro armor if I'm a pure tech. For my balanced character, I'll wear elite plate mail along with using the Shild of Protection spell.
My machined plate is for a half ogre, it weighs 1000 stone, and the ac bonus is 35. I don't know what's going on.
I looked that up in my guide and apparently that is consistent with the book. For small/medium/large weights for machined plate are 1000/1200/1000 (new: 1400) stone. Elite plate weights are 600/800/900 stone. The logic looks to be a bit quirky. I don't understand how a larger piece of armor weighs less than a medium piece of armor of the same type, so I'll consider this a friendly bug until further notice.
