Yup thats right, little black triangles, which are a pain in the neck to try and play Arcanum with, but I have them. Can someone tell me if they know of any possible solutions?

Try re-installing the game, it seems one of the configuration files gets messed up once in a while.

Are you running in safe mode?

If not it could be the demo does not like your video card or ram. Safe mode disables 3D graphics. If this is the problem don't panic the final version will be optimized and should work ok on your system

I wouldn't really have a clue what you are talking about, but you could try a screenshot to show off your problem

Of course, if the problem is such a clear one that anyone who has the aforesaid problem will know of what you speak, then there is really no point I guess
Unless you feel like satisfying my curiousity

You could always jus turn your monitor off, that should solve the problem.

I got the same thing(piling triangles) when playing at school(bad study habits). Must be a shitty graphics card. I will try it in safe mode and see how it fares.

    it's the graphics card!

Its your graphics card if you have anything below about 16 megs of video ram and 64 megs of regular ram the screen will look real bad.

Where: I raised my SierraSite skill a couple of points and went to work.

and *ignoring the fact you were probably joking*

    Why:

    - jureel said "i've a problem with little black triangles"
    - the thread said "here's some vague/well-meaning/incomplete theories"
    - and i saw a gap in the point-scoring, fake-kudos-generating, ego-stroking market and tried to fill it.

EDIT: don't ya just love the way the link I have posted has given everyone a nice horizontal scroll bar in this thread. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: HTML is a work of sheer GENIUS *pokes himself in the forehead for the benefit of Big Breakfast fans*

Actually, the whole word is "kudos". As far as I'm aware, there is no "kudo". It's not a plural either I believe.

(If I'm wrong, Sheriff Fatman is going to jump down my throat...)

Damn me if I haven't put someone offside for good. And damn me if I have, obviously.

I do NOT wish to jump down your throat. Who knows what I'll find in there? If you want to know whether you are wrong or right, check a dictionary site for the word you just gave an opinion on.

Possibly, doing it before you post a correction of someone else would be one strategy for avoiding embarassment.

God knows, on forums there's always SOMEONE only to willing to point out the slightest little inaccuracy in ANY information you put forward.

Yeah, I'm guilty of that on occasion .

I am 99% sure that there is no word "kudo", and that it is only "kudos", but still, it's very embarassing when you make a simple mistake isn't it?
