There is a computer that when I try to post from it, it keeps prompting for the log-in information and prevents all posting. I know the problem isn't cookies in general because the problem only affects this forum and no other log-ins. Any ideas of what could be the source of the problem?

Yours isn't an isolated case, if that's any consolation. I'm an administrator on a different forum and over time have received several reports of the very same problem. Don't know the source of the problem, though, would be glad to learn it myself.

If it is a public computer, would frequent auto-deleting of Internet cookies cause this?

Probably its way of telling you that your post sucks.

Then it would be deleting the cookies that keep me logged into other sites, and it isn't. Also, if there was delay between deletes, then I would still be able to post by using Cut & Paste to recreate the post in under a minute after re-logging in, and that doesn't work either.

Also, the problem isn't on a public computer. The public computers at libraries are the computers that actually allow me to post.

If the cookie exists, could it be a specific version of IE that can't or interpet the cookie correctly? When I selected auto-login (or was it remain logged on?), I got an invalid session error.

Try using a different web browser. If the problem exists, report back.

Can't you just use a different computer? Or is it your home computer that's the problem?
