Actually, GD is the place where the rule is strictest. In other not-so-active forums it's not so bad.

STFU! This thread be for those of us who care about plot, and dialogue, not mindless killing! (and if that's what you're after, GTA:SA pwnz j00) You know, Dungeon Siege two has a cheesy, and poorly written plot, but my favorite thing about it is 1.it's customizablity (note all the custom maps), and 2.no loads. Ever. Everything is done dynamically. You go up a set of stairs, and it shows the upper story without stopping to load. That's something that I really value in a series. Sure, opening every cabinet would be neat, but why bother? I'd rather they focused on more important things, like plot, dialogue, no loads, and other highly useful features, and, when everything else is done, do things like that.

Take it easy. Just said that I liked BF2 more than I liked CS: Source. It's not my favourite game or something.

No, we in the GD're known for tar'n'feathering people for gravedigging. It'sn't allowed in any section. I really don't know how you managed this, right after the posts about not gravedigging (ie: rosie's right). I'm hungry. Time for cold pizza.

I usually don't watch the date of the posts. I think they are highly irrelevant...
(What old a topic needs to be to me to gravedig?) (And why there are no forum pruning if this is so annoying?)

We don't prune away old threads, we prune away the people who are stupid enough to dig them from their graves.

maybe it IS stupid for us to be so anal about gravedigging... but that's the way it is, so if you don't like it, go find another forum.

Here's an idea. Just don't go so far down in the topic list. It's not necessary. The only exception is when you have something exceptionally constructive to add, and honestly, this wasn't quite.

Take it from this position. If you were talking to somebody and you had a conversation a month ago... you wouldn't just bring it back up from the same point you left off. You'ld start a new conversation and possibly refer (link) back to the older conversation.

Once again, Blinks does it. Can you just imagine how far our arguments would go if he wasn't here to solve everything?

Things would be talked about endlessly without much being said. Blinky, can I be your lieutenant? I'l be quiet - I promise.

Blinky can also flame someone in the same proficient way. Blinks, are you that good at everything? ;)

The only ones worth looking at are those that've updated (indicated by a grey gear) since you last visited, and then you should only respond if you've something meaningful to add.
Well, to quote Nevermore... "People talking without speaking, people hearing without listening!"

    -fixed for Silvara's Sake-
Oh, and yes, it is a Simon and Garfunkle Song, but Nevermore did it better.

Nevermore? That's part of the lyrics to "The Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel, actually...
Oh, and that should be "you should post if you've got something meaningful to add". It's not like people always do, I'm afraid.
