When I got enough experience points to reach level 51 I got two VERY loud bursts of high-pitched static and the game exits to Windows. Repeated attempts at the same and previous saved games gave the same result. I had installed the 1074 patch and the contents of arcanum_uptolevel127_1074.zip well before starting the game in question. In attempting to diagnose the problem I changes the values in xp_level.mes (i.e. set level 2 to 2000 instead of 2100) and started a new game but it seemed to be ignoring my edited xp_level.mes. Finally I did a complete reinstall but ended up erasing all my saved games. I'm keen to start all over again but don't want to run into the same problem at level 50. Any suggestions?
Well, I guess I should have been more specific. What I really meant by "Any suggestions?" was any suggestions about how to solve my problem with the hack.
