Aha, and I see the error of my ways; always read the OP.
The warforged are my favorite race, and the monk is my favorite class.

Warforged are fun, aren't they? We have a Warforged Warlock in my group, who abuses Charm like you wouldn't believe. He always says 'Would you kindly?' when he uses it, and the rest of the party hasn't cottoned on just yet.

I'll count your vote as one for Monk, then.

Whelp, unless there are some more votes tonight while I'm checking to see what changes the update wrought, we seem to have a tie between the Bard and the Favoured Soul. As I've played a million Bards (I much preferred them when they could still cast Fireball, but I'll take what I can get), we'll probably see our dear character as a Favoured Soul.

So, stabbin' faces in the name of our god, eh?

I'm off to look at the different races and pick a few options for us to work with. Luckily, what works for Favoured Soul works nicely for Bards too, so either way...

Warrior classes (except for Monks) tend to suffer dramatically in Epic Level play, and with any luck we'll be epic level pretty quickly! In fact, apart from a few feats for the ol' Critical Hit goodness, they don't get much at all. And unfortunately, things that are immune to Sneak Attack! tend to be immune to criticals too.

    1. Gold Dwarf

    2. There really are no great PrC's if you wish to retain your divine spellcasting ability, so go Favored Soul all the way.

    3. Lawful

    4. Good or Neutral

Okie dokie. Seeing as how nobody has voted in a couple of days, I'll assume that the general opinions have been given and work out what's wanted.

    Race: Gold Dwarf
Prestige Classes: Tied, so I chose none so we can keep out spellcasting strong
    Alignment: Neutral

This gives us a surprising amount of flexibility where in-character choices are concerned, so we'll see how things go. I'll pick a diety who embodies how I want to play this character, and some point in the near future I'll put up the 'prelude' post and first actual game post.

Edit: Sunnuva... once again certain people manage to push my buttons while being incredibly charming about it. During the process of writing this post, the guys and gals who talked me into doing LPs in the first did a rush on voting. Nothing much has changed, except that the PC will now be an Aasimar instead of a Dwarf. *sigh* So instead of a charismatic rock-smasher, we have a charismatic wanna-be angel.

I understand why you did this, I just think that the people at the other forum are idiots for suggesting Aasimar for a Favored Soul character. That's tantamount to Chaotic Good Drow Rangers dual-wielding scimitars with regards to originality.

Makes me want to make a rival LP with a female half-orc.

And yes, keep the Thayan bitch.

This isn't so much a call for voting as a request for opinions.

    1. Do you like my little rambles about gameplay and Faerun's cultures? Are they too wordy, or not wordy enough?

    2. The 'avatars' of the characters. Are they too big?

Xiao, it wouldn't be one of your projects without the ramblings. I say keep them. I think the avvies are ok, but maybe a bit smaller.

Gross! *glomp* I can't remember the last time I saw you on here!

*ahem* Keep the rambling, shrink the avvies. I can do that.
