However, it is feasible to use science to prove/disprove the veracity of the divine scriptures various Gods are accredited to. :)

You can use good old logic to disprove them.

For example, an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, benevolent god clearly does not exist.

So says one who talks the talk.
I'm all for science, but I can't explain why people are. The first human was a woman in Africa. What sparked that step? Why didn't people just die out right there?

If the first human was a woman in Africa how come we didn't become extinct? Surely there must've been a man as well. And since our species doesn't work very well with inbreed, I assume there would've had to have been many. Which would be a strong hint towards evolution.

Lucy's progeny were just a little more adaptable than most animals?
Beyond that, read my sig. That's a motto that best describes the nature of humanity.

She was the first human. There might've been others born after she was, but probably not in the same area. How big are the chances that two people would be born of apes, and would find each other and couple off (despite the aggressively territorial nature of primates)?
Maybe she lowered her standards and bedded another ape?
If you look at anyone with white skin, what you have to remember is that we're white by mistake. Pale people started as a mutation, and it spread by breeding. Having two simultaneous mutations of the same type is extremely rare.
Actually, I googled "the first human."

Apparently, it was a man. Now, I can actually see how people survived. Not because men are any better at surviving than women, but because we will have sex with anything.
...but I still think something's watching over us.

More like a group which left the other apes and became humans over time, but whatever.

    ...Defend your point!!

Evolution is dependant on circumstance and genes.
Yes, there was a gradual change. However, moving from a chimp's brain capacity to our own in one generation is a big fucking step.
This first human was way different from his parents, but I admit that my examples from before were exaggerations of the changes.
Sure, people in general were around for a long time. However, the first Homo sapiens sapiens was that man. Every population (of men) on this planet has shockingly similar Y chromosomes. The reason? We all have a single male progenitor.

    Found another brilliant video.

    Edit: Found another interesting thing.

If some fundies are against abortion and stem cell research, because of religious reasons, it's because they haven't read the bible :)

    Exodus 21:22-25

22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,

24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

How does that argue against abortion? It said that if he kills the baby than he will be punished.

woman is killed - death as punishment

I guess that's one way to interpret it. Personally, I don't need any religious basis for my belief that a baby is a baby, whether it has breathed air or not.

Yeah, I actually saw that in the book itself. If they're a little on the ball, they're religiously opposed because they don't want to kill the father. But, I think if any man rapes a woman, he should die. It's just stupid. A child wrought by malice...that's just a sad way to be brought to life.
