I will probaly make a fool out of myself for asking this, but what is warez?
I have never heard of it before.

Is there a rule agaisnt linking to warez or was it just this specific case?
(And no, I have no plan of linking to anything, in any case.)

 

It could also be one of the many reasons we don't have an Arcanum 2.

 

Warez is basically how people get games without paying for them. Take a wild guess at why a great game like Arcanum was such a disaster for Troika in terms of sales.

 

Because it is not an MMORPG with glittering 3D graphics, loads of effects, naked chicks, and its gameplay doesn't consist of mindless butchering of swarms of monsters requiring zero intelligence ?

 

I'm sure that would have helped Frigo, but it was the fact that not many people pay for shit they can just download.

 

Especially when they are able to get it a lot earlier if they download it.

 

But why in the heck Frigo "almost got banned" when he linked to warez, and when I did it I got my account deleted?

 

I cannot answer that for you. Maybe the admins (mathboy) had enough after it happened once.
